About This Photograph

By winning eight of the nine matches played at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass., the United States maintained its unbroken string of victories in the Walker Cup Matches and retained the trophy for another two years. This photo shows the presentation of the trophy after the last match had been played. Left to right: Francis Ouimet, captain of the American team; H.H. Ramsay, president of the U.S. Golf Association; and T.A. Torrance, captain of the British team.
